Integrative Reflexology for Nervous System Support

Working with the feet can profoundly support relaxation, grounding, and nervous system regulation. It is one of the most powerful hands-on modalities we offer when someone needs help slowing down, settling into their body, and finding a greater sense of ease. While the Integrative Reflexology Certification is on pause in 2027, it continues to be an important part of the work we teach.

Its wisdom continues within our Bodywork for Depression & Anxiety course, where Integrative Reflexology is woven into the protocol to bring people beyond states of overwhelm and into deeper states of peace. It’s a supportive modality for those experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and depression.

“This is the most important work I have learned thus far in my bodywork career.”  Tiffany Rodriquez, LMT in Norfolk, VA

A softer approach to Reflexology

Many therapists are hesitant to incorporate reflexology because of concerns about repetitive finger and thumb walking. Our approach is different. We teach a relaxed, whole-hand technique that is gentle on your hands and body, and the entire protocol can be performed while seated. We also offer individualized modifications to help reduce strain and make the work sustainable. In fact, our graduates consistently tell us how deeply relaxed they feel while giving the treatment.

In Bodywork for Depression & Anxiety, participants learn a hands-on protocol designed to support nervous system regulation and the body’s natural movement toward restoration and greater ease. The course weaves together hands-on techniques, compassionate touch, practices in presence and current research on the brain and nervous system. As part of the protocol, we incorporate specific Integrative Reflexology techniques for the feet, offering another powerful way to support down-regulation and nervous system relief. Together, these approaches provide practical, body-based tools for working compassionately with people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm.
