About Estrela Serenity

Estrela Serenity is a premier 35-acre mountain resort and wellness retreat located within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park in Folgosinho, Portugal – just a 2-hour drive from Porto. It is a sanctuary for deep rest, reconnection, and inner exploration, and an ideal setting for our Breath, Body & Sound retreat.

The spaces are simple yet elegant, allowing nature to lead while a sense of spaciousness gently supports your process. Accommodations are warm and thoughtfully designed to balance privacy and connection, with nourishing meals that keep you grounded and well-supported throughout your stay. On-site amenities – including a spa, outdoor pool, fully equipped gym, sauna and scenic hiking trails – offer additional opportunities to restore and integrate.

Estrela Serenity is located in Folgosinho, a small mountain village in central Portugal, within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park – Portugal’s highest mountain range. It sits in a quiet, nature-rich area near the town of Gouveia, surrounded by forests, valleys, and hiking trails.

Located about a 2-hour drive from Porto, the easiest way to arrive is by private transfer which we will help arrange at a designated pickup time in Porto on Saturday, April 23. Estrela Serenity is 3.5 hours from Lisbon and 4.5 hours from Madrid.

The accommodations at Estrela Serenity are thoughtfully prepared with a natural, calming design and comfortable beds to help you fully rest between sessions. You can choose between a single or shared room. Many rooms look out onto the surrounding nature, reinforcing a sense of calm and connection to the land. Early registration price listed below ends January 15, 2027, afterwards goes up by $250.

Standard double (two twins or queen/king) $2099

Both room types have the same comfort however the Standard rooms have a garden view and the Premium rooms have mountain, lake or panoramic views. Most Premium rooms have a terrace or private balcony. Priority given to earliest registrations.

If you are traveling with a friend or partner and would like to share a room with them, let us know when you register. If you are traveling alone and would like double accommodation, we will be happy to match you with someone on a space available basis. If we are unable to pair you with a roommate, Estrela Serenity’s policy requires us to adjust your rate to reflect single occupancy. We recommend registering early to increase your chances of being matched.

The non-attending companion rate is for someone who is sharing a room with you but not attending the group retreat sessions. The prices listed below are for non-attending companions and includes all meals, shared accommodations with you and the group excursion.

U.S. travelers do not need a visa for Portugal for stays under 90 days. You’ll need a valid passport and, starting in 2026, a simple online travel authorization (ETIAS) before arrival.

Meals at Estrela Serenity are fresh, nourishing, and thoughtfully prepared to support your body throughout the retreat. Expect balanced, seasonal local dishes with options for different dietary needs.

Yes, we have deliberately created a spacious schedule that allows ample time to rest or to enjoy massage services in between retreat sessions. There is one full day during the retreat that will be open for a group excursion (included) or one on your own. If you’d like to do any additional excursions, plan them prior to the beginning of the retreat or after. Estrela Serenity has on-site massage services that can be booked on arrival.

A retreat offers you a precious opportunity to slow down and tune in to the rhythms of the natural environment and it is important to strike the right balance between stimulation and quiet reflection.

Yes. Breath, Body & Sound is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 21 CE hours. You will receive an electronic certificate of completion at the end of the retreat for your state licensing board and/or recertification with the NCBTMB.

Yes. Once you register we will send you an electronic invoice that gives you the option to set up your own payment plan. An additional $500 non-refundable deposit is due on October 15, 2026. If you register after October 15, 2026, a $1000 deposit is due at time of registration. All payments must be complete by January 15, 2027.

We are happy to hear that you are joining us! You can hold your place in the retreat with a $500 non-refundable deposit per person. A second $500 deposit will be due on October 15, 2026. Your final balance will be due on January 15, 2027. Simply click on the blue “Register Now” button to reserve your place in the retreat. As soon as we receive your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email with more details about the retreat and planning your travel. Please review our International Cancellation Policy prior to registering.
