Tracey and Sharon are truly inspirational.  This style of breathwork has changed my life for the better and I feel so safe with these two leading.  I feel honored and excited to tell others.”  Justin Maimone, University of Virginia Medical Center Respiratory Therapist

The breath is the most accurate and instantaneous mirror for how we feel, think and live.  By consciously connecting with the breath through a safe and gentle process, we are updating feelings, thoughts and physical sensations to live with more happiness, ease and pleasure. Think of it as a re-boot to your body, mind and spirit when the system is sluggish or not functioning optimally.

Many people suffer from chronic ineffective breathing habits, contributing to unhealthy effects in the body and eventually leading to chronic health issues. Research is now showing that less oxygenation in the body can lead to disease.  Trauma, loss and stress can create a constriction around the diaphragm limiting how someone breaths as a result of the nervous system’s fight, flight and freeze response.

“I am using parts of my lungs that have not had breath for years, relieving long haul COVID symptoms and releasing all of the held emotions there.”  Lori Miller, Asheville NC

In Breath, Body & Sound you will learn a gentle, heart-opening, self-healing process that utilizes a circular connected breath to awaken the senses.  By consciously activating the breath, we connect with the deep intelligence of our body, mind and heart.  We can access places that have been contracted and protected (which shut down the breath) through physical, emotional and mental traumas. Our approach is a simple yet revolutionary, grounded in the latest research and neuroscience.  Breathing freely empowers us to be fully present, feel our body and dissolve tension moving towards a more conscious, happy and fulfilling life.

Whether you are online with us or in-person for this Breath, Body & Sound retreat, you will learn skills to unwind from stressful habitual patterns and generate healthy ways of being.  The benefits of breathwork can include:

  • Reduced anxiety and depression
  • Increased stress-resilience and regulation of the nervous system
  • Feelings of more ease and flow in life
  • Decreased physical pain and increased freedom of movement
  • Heightened intuitive insight
  • Awakened presence and feeling uplifted
  • Expanded sense of connection with others

In Breath, Body & Sound, we couple breath with sound healing. The foundation of sound healing is that everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration, including every bone, tissue, organ and cell in our body. When we are in a state of sound health, all of our body parts are vibrating harmoniously at their optimal or resonant frequency.  When our vibration is not in sync with our optimal frequency we can feel out of sorts, imbalanced and depleted.  Profound effects can happen when we couple breath with sound, creating a more resonant and healthy vibration in the body.  It is in this state that we deepen our state of relaxation, reduce anxiety and tension, heighten awareness and get a boost to the immune system.

Breath, Body & Sound is a life changing experience.  Shedding layers in this supportive community is both healing and strength building.  I have explored many types of healing and this is the one that resonates most deeply.”  Caroline Mamoulides, LMBT, Raleigh, NC

For massage therapists:
Breath is a significant part of a massage therapy session however isn’t part of the basic education in massage therapy training. Many therapists don’t know how to effectively work with the breath or educate their clients on how to breathe without chronic muscular constriction or holding patterns. We bring the breath to the center of attention and focus the awareness on breathing more effectively. This is a highly experiential training and open to anyone interested in the transformative nature of the breath.  Massage therapists receive continuing education credit.

“Years of therapy, meditation and even drugs have not released the healing power that happened in one sound healing session. What a gift!”
