About Le Pianore Retreat Center in Tuscany:
Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, woodlands and mountain streams, with breathtaking views and untouched landscapes, Le Pianore is a family operated organic farm villa and retreat center in the heart of Tuscany. Cradled between the medieval hilltop towns of Montelaterone and Monticello, this 800 year old villa has been beautifully restored with love and charm. Here you will discover delightful gardens soaring cypress tree paths and a place with vibrant warmth and heart – truly a supportive retreat setting for lovers of food, nature, art and a slower pace of life.
All-inclusive package details:
- 7 day / 6 night retreat with accommodations and healthy meals begins at $1399 per person
- Three healthy meals daily with seasonal locally grown food mostly vegetarian with meat entrees at dinner – special dietary needs can be accommodated.
- An optional full day trip to the Abbey of Sant’Antimo and the charming villages of Pienza and Montalcino
- An optional cooking class with Le Pianore chefs
- Daily group sessions with breathwork and sound healing with personal time for excursions
- On-site massage services available for additional fee
- Group ground transportation is included from Siena (1+ hour from the retreat center)

Where is La Pianore and how do I get there?
La Pianore is located in the heart of Italy’s Tuscany region, an area rich in culture, landscape and food. The easiest plan is to fly to Florence or Rome and then a train or bus to Siena, where you will be picked up and shuttled to the retreat center. Train and bus service is easy from all major airports in Italy into Tuscany.
Please register for the retreat first prior to booking your flight to ensure space in the retreat. We will let you know when we meet the minimum number of participants to hold the retreat.
What are the accommodations choices and pricing?
There are several types of accommodations to choose from on at Le Pianore. Each one is uniquely designed for warmth and comfort. Pricing below is all-inclusive with meals, accommodations and the 7-day retreat. There is a limited quantity of each accommodation type, please register early to ensure your preference. - Shared female-only room with private bath, per person $1399 (shown in photo) – great option for solo female travelers who want a comfortable budget option
- Double Yurt with private bath, per person $1649 – good option for couple or friends traveling together
- Double with private bath, per person $1699

Can I room with my partner or friend? If I’m traveling alone and would like double accommodations, will you match me with a roommate?
If you are traveling with a friend or partner and would like to share a room with them please let us know when you register. If you are traveling alone and would like double or triple accommodations, we will be happy to match you with someone on a space availability basis. Le Pianore’s policy is that if you are registered for double or triple accommodations and we are not able to match you with a roommate, you will be charged based on the number of people in the room. Please register early to increase your likelihood of a match!
What is the food like at Le Pianore?
Le Pianore is a place for all seasons and this is reflected in the kitchen. They use seasonal produce grown in organic vegetable gardens, along with locally sourced, organic goods wherever possible. Meals are mostly vegetarian with some meat entrees at dinner, all imbued with the long loved art of Italian cooking.
Will there be time in the schedule for excursions or spa services?
Yes, we have deliberately created a spacious schedule that allows ample time to rest or to enjoy massage services in between retreat sessions. We have included a full day trip where you have the choice to go on a group trip to charming villages and a local Abbey or you can utilize this time to enjoy the magnificent property at Le Pianore.
Le Pianore has on-site therapeutic services including Shiatsu and Ayurvedic massage. Instructions on booking in advance can be found in the welcome packet.
A retreat offers you a precious opportunity to slow down and tune in to the rhythms of the natural environment and it is important to strike the right balance between stimulation and quiet reflection.
Absolutely! You are traveling a long distance so now is the time to consider if you want to extend your trip. Some favorite destinations in Italy are Siena, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Venice or the Amalfi coastline.
What should I bring?
You will receive a detailed welcome email from the facilitators after registering with a downloadable PDF document of recommended items to bring, passport information, air travel recommendations and more.
Yes. Breath, Body & Sound is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 21 CE hours. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the retreat electronically to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB. If you are a licensed massage therapist in the State of Georgia – please read important details here about your continuing education credit.
Do you have payment plans available?
Yes. Once you register, we will send you an electronic invoice that gives you the option to set up your own payment plan. An additional $500 non-refundable deposit is due on April 1, 2021. All payments must be complete by July 1, 2021.
I am ready to register, how do I hold my spot?
We are happy to hear that you are joining us! You can hold your place in the retreat with a $500 non-refundable deposit per person. An additional $500 non-refundable deposit is due on April 21, 2021. Your final balance will be on July 1, 2021. Simply click on the blue “Register Now” button below to reserve your place in the retreat. As soon as we receive your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email with more details about the retreat and planning your travel. Please review our International cancellation policy prior to registering.
