This 7-Day breathwork and sound healing retreat is being held at Ephesus Retreat in Selcuk, Turkey, a serene getaway that blends cultural heritage with natural beauty. The retreat is surrounded by lush greenery, orchards, and scenic views of the Turkish countryside, making it ideal for spiritual retreats, cultural workshops, and relaxation.

Coupled with hands-on work, breathwork is one of the most effective ways to release tension and stress, reboot the nervous system and feel at home in the body. It’s one of the kindest and most necessary things we can do for ourselves and share with others.

About Ephesus Retreat in Turkey

Ephesus Retreat is a place of inspiration and transformation, located on the west coast Turkey on the Aegean Sea and in the province of Izmir. The retreat center is nestled on the slopes 400 meters above sea level on a 20 hectare property. There are stunning panoramic views over the historic city of Ephesus and the valley to the Aegean sea.

Ephesus Retreat is situated amidst one of the most historically significant, culturally rich and spiritual regions of Turkey. The Selçuk region is home to the ancient city of Ephesus where the ancient goddess Artemis was worshiped (founded in 10th century BC and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site), .

For thousands of years, seekers and artists have been called to this place to find wisdom and knowledge, mystery, community life and inspiration, and to encounter the ancestral energy and stories that vibrate alive to our day! Because of the terrain, Ephesus is not suitable for those with physical limitations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ephesus Retreat is located on the west coast Turkey on the Aegean Sea, part of the Mediterranean Sea, and in the province of Izmir. The easiest plan is to fly into Istanbul (IST) and then transfer by air to Izmir (ADB). You will be picked up in Izmir by a private driver to take you directly to the retreat center (included in the retreat fee).

Please register for the retreat first prior to booking your flight to ensure space in the retreat. We will let you know when we meet the minimum number of participants to hold the retreat.

There are several types of accommodations to choose from at Ephesus Retreat, either with mountain or panoramic views of the Sea in the distance. Enjoy the beauty of the Turkish linens, tea/coffee bar and small seating area or writing desk in each room. Pricing below is all-inclusive with meals, accommodations, regional airport ground transportation, group tour and the 7-day retreat. There is a limited quantity of each accommodation type, please register early to ensure your preference. All rooms have private baths.

If you are traveling with a friend or partner and would like to share a room with them please let us know when you register. If you are traveling alone and would like double accommodation, we will be happy to match you with someone on a space availability basis. Ephesus Retreat’s policy is that if you are registered for double accommodations and we are not able to match you with a roommate, you will be charged based on the number of people in the room. Please register early to increase your likelihood of a match!

The non-attendee “companion” rate is for someone who is sharing a room with you but not attending the group retreat sessions. The prices listed below are for non-attendee companions and includes all meals, shared accommodations with you, the group tour and transportation to/from the Izmir airport.

Yes. Step-by-step instructions will be provided in the travel document that you will receive after your register.

Your senses and well-being are stimulated and the Mediterranean cuisine makes your stay at Ephesus unforgettable. Inspired by traditional Mediterranean cuisine, they combine local fish, meat and dairy products with seasonal and local fruits, vegetables, Aegean herbs and olive oil in a symphony of the senses. They pay attention to sustainable cultivation and therefore all products come from Ephesus gardens, from local suppliers or from the region. The kitchen offers vegan, vegetarian and traditional Turkish dishes and are happy to adapt the menus to individual needs such as allergies and special diets.

Yes, we have deliberately created a spacious schedule that allows ample time to rest or to enjoy massage services in between retreat sessions. We have included a full day trip where you have the choice to go on a to nearby ancient villages and archaeological sites. If you’d like to do additional excursions, please plan on them either prior to the beginning of the retreat or after.

Ephesus has on-site massage services. We will notify you when booking opens a few weeks prior to the retreat.

A retreat offers you a precious opportunity to slow down and tune in to the rhythms of the natural environment and it is important to strike the right balance between stimulation and quiet reflection.

Absolutely! You are traveling a long distance so now is the time to consider if you want to extend your trip. Some favorite destinations are Istanbul, Izmir and the Greek and Turkish islands. We will provide you with a list of travel highlights, excursions and recommendations.

You will receive a detailed welcome email from the facilitators after registering with a downloadable PDF document of recommended items to bring, passport information, air travel recommendations and more.

Yes. Breath, Body & Sound is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 21 CE hours. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the retreat electronically to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB.

Yes. Once you register, we will send you an electronic invoice that gives you the option to set up your own payment plan. An additional $500 non-refundable deposit is due on October 15, 2024. If you register after October 15, 2024, a $1000 deposit is due at time of registration. All payments must be complete by February 1, 2025.

We are happy to hear that you are joining us! You can hold your place in the retreat with a $500 non-refundable deposit per person. A second $500 deposit will be due on October 15, 2024. Your final balance will be on February 1, 2025. Simply click on the blue “Register Now” button to reserve your place in the retreat. As soon as we receive your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email with more details about the retreat and planning your travel. Please review our *International cancellation policy prior to registering.
