 A 4-Day Retreat in the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee at the Well Being Conference Center.

The Wellbeing Retreat Center is on 158 acres in northeastern Tennessee and surrounded by 2.4 miles of the Powell River, creating a sense of privacy and enhancing the stillness and natural beauty of this retreat site.  This is  a nourishing and supportive space where you can discover peace, transformation and a deeper connection with yourself and others.   To read more about the meditation retreat, click here. Accommodations & meals:  Ranges from $63-$160 per person per night depending on accommodations choice.

Do I need to have a regular meditation practice to attend this retreat?

This retreat is appropriate for all, including beginners. During the retreat you will receive instruction on basic meditation practices as well as any support and guidance you may need throughout the weekend.  If you already have an established meditation practice, this retreat can provide you with the opportunity to deepen your practice as you sit in community with others.

How do I register?

You register for the retreat separately from your accommodations/meals.  The retreat cost is handled through us on this website by selecting the blue REGISTER HERE button above.  After you have registered online for the retreat, download the housing application and follow the instructions to reserve your accommodations.  Housing fees are payable directly to Well Being Foundation.

What is the cost for accommodations and meals?

The Well Being Conference Center offers a variety of accommodations including tent camping, cabinettes, shared cabins or a private cabin.  To read more about the accommodation options, click here.  Please note that accommodations are assigned by The Well Being Conference Center on a first come, first served basis.  Costs listed below are per person per night and include three meals daily.

$50 • Commuter rate, includes meals and facility fee
$63 • Tent camping
$80 • Double Cabinette (short walk to bathroom)
$95 • Single Cabinette (short walk to bathroom)
$105 • Double occupancy bedroom in Cabin w/shared bathroom
$130 • Single occupancy bedroom in Cabin w/shared bathroom
$120 • Double occupancy in Private Cabin w/private bathroom (one cabin only available)
$140 • Single in Private Cabin w/private bathroom (one cabin only available)

Can I room with someone I know?

Yes.  When you register for your accommodations you can indicate that you would like to share a room with someone you know.  If you are traveling alone and would like shared accommodations, we will pair you with a same-gender roommate.

Will there be time in the schedule for rest, hiking or massage?

Yes, we have deliberately created the retreat schedule so that it allows ample time for this.  Massage services are available on-site when you schedule in advance with the Well Being Conference Center.  Kayaks are available and included in the price.

Can I add on days if I want to extend my stay?

Yes.  To add additional days, please arrange this when booking your accommodations and meals through the Well Being Conference Center.

I’m a massage therapist – can I receive continuing education hours for this retreat?

Yes.  Cultivating Inner Stillness in a Chaotic World is NCBMTB Approved for 18 CE hours. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the retreat to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB.  This is part I of the Mindfulness Professional Training and can be taken alone or as part of a series. Click here to read more information about the Mindfulness Professional Training.

How do I get to the Wellbeing Retreat Center?

The retreat center is 1 1/2 hours northeast of Knoxville, TN;  2 1/4 hours west of Asheville, NC.  Directions can be found here.
