In this inspiring one-day workshop we offer simple body-centered techniques that create healthy connection and help clear the way to widening the perspective and deepening the understanding of those we are in relationship with and ourselves.
You will learn tools that will help you build mindful presence, the foundation for healthy ethical relationship, amidst the stressors of everyday life. This class goes into the heart of ethical mindfulness, helping you to foster connection first with yourself and then w
ith others. With these practices you will feel more grounded, resilient and peaceful even when faced with stress.
You will learn a model of communication that will allow you to communicate more creatively, constructively and appropriately respond to the variety of difficulties that can arise in a practice. This highly experiential course will enable you to integrate mindfulness practices immediately into your work. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a beginner, all are welcome!
Nestled in the forest, you will enjoy the tranquility of the Unity Center for Peace with hiking trails, a labyrinth and outdoor areas for exploring during breaks and at lunch.
I’m a massage therapist – can I receive continuing education hours for this training and retreat?
Yes. Cultivating a Mindful Practice is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 7 CE hours. This course also meets the Ethics requirement for NCBTMB re-certification as well as NC state licensure renewal. We are a Florida approved provider and New York sponsored provider. You will receive a certificate of completion electronically to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB.
