What is breathwork?
The breath is the most accurate and instantaneous mirror for how we feel, think and live. By consciously connecting with the breath through a safe and gentle process, we are updating these feelings, thoughts and physical sensations to live with more happiness, ease and pleasure in life. Think of it as a re-boot to your body, mind and spirit when the “system” is sluggish or not functioning optimally.
Breathwork is a revolutionary approach to body-centered healing. The benefits of breathwork can include: more clarity, reduced anxiety and depression, increased stress-resilience, increased energy, feelings of more ease and flow in life, decreased physical pain, heightened insight, awakened presence, expanded sense of connection with self and others.
What is sound healing?
In this retreat, we couple breath with sound healing. The foundation of sound healing is that everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration, including every bone, tissue, organ and cell in our body. When we are in a state of sound health, all of our body parts are vibrating harmoniously at their optimal or resonant frequency. When our vibration is not in sync with our optimal frequency we can feel out of sorts, imbalanced and depleted. What we are going for through sound healing is a whole system that is in resonance and has a healthy vibration. It is in this state that we deepen our state of relaxation, reduce anxiety and tension, and get a boost to the immune system.
Breath and sound healing are powerful ways to access higher states of well being allowing you to feel more energized, balanced and uplifted.
Do I have a choice of accommodations?
Yes, there are several accommodations options. After you have registered for the training through us first, you can make your accommodations reservations through Menla by reserving online here. Pricing for two nights begins at $330 all-inclusive with meals and accommodations.
Can I room with someone I know?
Yes. When you register please let Menla Reservations know that you are attending with someone who is attending the retreat and that you would like to share a room with them. You each pay the all-inclusive double accommodations rate.
What if I would like shared accommodations but am coming on my own?
If you request double occupancy and you are not traveling with a roommate, Menla will pair you with a same-gendered roommate, when possible. Please register early as this increases the likelihood of being able to be paired.
Can I add on days if I want to extend my stay?
I’m a massage therapist – can I receive continuing education hours for this retreat?
Yes. Breath, Body & Sound is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 18 CE hours. We are also a FL approved provider and have NY sponsorship. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the retreat to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB.
I still have more questions, how do I get in touch with you?
Please write to one of the facilitators at Tracey at email@example.com or Sharon at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also call 919-907-0579.
