What is breathwork?
The breath is the most accurate and instantaneous mirror for how we feel, think and live. By consciously connecting with the breath through a safe and gentle process, we are updating these feelings, thoughts and physical sensations to live with more happiness, ease and pleasure in life. Think of it as a re-boot to your body, mind and spirit when the “system” is sluggish or not functioning optimally.
The benefits of breathwork can include: more clarity, reduced anxiety and depression, increased stress-resilience, increased energy, feelings of more ease and flow in life, decreased physical pain, heightened insight, awakened presence, expanded sense of connection with self and others.
What is sound healing?
Everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration, including every bone, tissue, organ and cell in our body. When we are in a state of sound health, all of our body parts are vibrating harmoniously at their optimal or resonant frequency. When our vibration is not in sync with our optimal frequency we can feel out of sorts, imbalanced and depleted. Shamanic sound healing can help bring your vibration back into resonance, thus allowing you to enjoy a state of relaxation, reduced anxiety and tension, and a boost to the immune system.
Do I have a choice of accommodations?
Yes, there are several options. Accommodations can be viewed on the Dahlonega Spa Resort website here. Photo shown is cabin interior.

Can I room with someone I know or bring someone who is not attending the retreat?
Yes. When you register please let us know that you are attending with someone who is attending the retreat and that you would like to share a room with them. You each pay the all-inclusive double accommodations rate. If you are bringing someone who is not attending the retreat, the pricing below is all-inclusive with accommodations and meals for the non-attendee companion. Please contact Sharon at email@example.com to confirm availability for the non-attendee companion sharing a room with you.

What if I would like shared accommodations but am coming on my own?
If you request double occupancy and you are not traveling with a roommate, we will pair you with a same-gendered roommate, when possible. Please register early as this increases the likelihood of being able to be paired. You are also welcome to bring a friend or family member as a non-participant for a companion rate. Please email us for this reduced companion pricing. Note: Dahlonega Spa Resorts policy is that if no roommate is available that you will receive a single room and pay the single accommodations price.
Can I add on days if I want to extend my stay?
Yes and we highly recommend it to enhance your retreat experience. Additional nights can be arranged directly by calling Dahlonega Spa Resort at 1-866-345-4900. Please register with us first!
Are meals included in the retreat price?
Yes. Dahlonega Spa Resort’s chef will be providing fresh, delicious and healthy meals during the training. If you have any food restrictions, sensitivities, allergies or dietary needs, please let us know in advance. All meals are included during the training from lunch on Thursday to lunch on Saturday.
Will there be time in the schedule for rest or hiking or spa services?
Yes, we have deliberately created the retreat schedule so that it allows ample time for this. There are beautiful walking trails and the property itself is a restful place to be. If you come in a day early or stay a day after, be sure to check out the nearby waterfalls at Amicalola Falls State Park. Dahlonega Spa Resort also has compiled an adventure guide here. If you’d like to schedule a massage or body treatment, please call Dahlonega Spa Resort in advance to schedule your appointment during your personal time on the retreat.
I’m a massage therapist – can I receive continuing education hours for this retreat?
Yes. Breath, Body & Sound is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 18 CE hours. We are also a FL approved provider and have NY sponsorship. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the retreat to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB. If you are a licensed massage therapist in the State of Georgia – please read important details here about your continuing education credit.
The retreat center is located in the north Georgia mountains about 1 hour north of Atlanta and 2 hours from Asheville, NC. For directions, click here to access Dahlonega Spa Resort’s website. If you need transportation from the airport, Dahlonega Spa Resort suggests that a car rental will be the least expensive option for one person. Khalid Transportation, a shuttle company charges $155 one way so most people rent a car, unless there are 3 or more. Closer to the time of the retreat we will help coordinate the sharing of transportation.
I still have more questions, how do I get in touch with you?
